Germans are still very skeptical about telesurgery hours.

83 percent have never used telemedical services, according to an online survey of more than 1000 people by the software service provider Capterra, which belongs to the market researcher Gartner.

Data from participants who stated in April 2021 that they had had at least one doctor's appointment in the past twelve months were evaluated.

There are many reasons for the negative attitude: some patients stated that they would rather speak to a doctor in person.

Respondents also had doubts as to whether a correct diagnosis was possible from a distance.

Of those 17 percent of patients who used telemedicine during the corona crisis, 42 percent of the consultations related to Covid 19 symptoms;

In 61 percent of online patients, the problem could be solved by tele-consultation.

In addition, patients from other European countries were interviewed.

In Great Britain every second patient used telemedicine, in the Netherlands it was every third.

65 percent of the respondents in Germany who have not yet had any telemedical treatment are at least open to it in the future.
