2021-07-28T16:50:02.550Z

At the end of the Sunday afternoon, three police officers were attacked by young people who targeted them with fire from artificers.

After the attack on Sunday of police in Bonneuil-sur-Marne (Val-de-Marne) with fireworks, six minors had been placed in police custody.

One of them, aged 16, was indicted on Wednesday for attempted murder of a person holding public authority in an organized gang, the Parisian public prosecutor told Créteil.

It would not be the author of the mortar fire but a teenager whose participation in the attack seems confirmed.

In the wake of his indictment by the two investigating judges, the suspect will be presented to a judge of freedoms and detention (JLD), with a view to his possible placement in pre-trial detention, required by the prosecution.

The other five minors, aged 14 to 16, who had also been taken into custody, were released on Tuesday.

Investigations continue

At the end of the Sunday afternoon, three police officers on patrol from the Créteil anti-crime brigade were attacked by around forty young people firing mortars, in the city of Saint-Exupéry in Bonneuil-sur-Marne, a town near 16,000 inhabitants located about fifteen kilometers south-east of Paris.

Investigations are continuing to identify other "active" participants out of a total of "forty young people" gathered at the time of the events.
