Mati Caspi cancels the performances he has scheduled in Israel, he announced today (Wednesday) on his Facebook page following the outline of the green mark, the Corona regulations on events and business, which will take effect starting tomorrow (Thursday).
"I will not cooperate with dictatorship or fascism," he wrote.
The singer, creator and musician was scheduled to perform from August at the Gray Club in Yehud, the concert hall in Givat Brenner and Kibbutz Hatzor.
He has now announced that he will perform only if all restrictions on performances are removed.
"Following the restoration of the restrictions, in order for the lie and deception to continue forever, I was forced to cancel my arrival," Caspi wrote on his Facebook page.
"I have stated in the past that I will not perform if there are restrictions that will not allow some of my audience to come to my performances. I will not cooperate with dictatorship or fascism. I would rather disappoint myself and not perform, than disappoint even two people who want to come to my performances. Only if all restrictions are removed and anyone who wants to is allowed to come to my performances. Or all or no one! Will not be where and where. Our bodies are in our possession and not in the possession of the tyrants. We hope for better times. Ticket buyers will receive a full refund on the purchase. "

A year ago, Caspi uploaded a video on his Facebook account, in which he called Netanyahu a "dictator" following the culture damage and the government's sharp cuts in the National Library's budget. He later removed the video and claimed it was done following threats he received on his life. In September 2020, Caspi told News 12 in an interview that he contracted corona and recovered without going to the hospital. "There is corona, but it is a completely normal flu," he said at the time, "there is no plague at all, and if you run to any hospital, to the corona ward, you will see that it is completely empty." In October, he announced that he was taking a break with his family from the "chaos" and was temporarily moving to Florence, Italy, where he rented an apartment.
According to the green label outline, for events involving more than a hundred participants in a closed or open space, entry will only be allowed for the vaccinated,Recover and have a negative test result who are aged 12 and over.
