After a positive first semester, which registered a rise of 37% compared to 2020, the sale of 0 km cars continues at a good pace.
The Association of Automotive Dealers of the Argentine Republic (ACARA) reported that July patents
increased 6.1%
compared to last year, and production vehicles continue to be the main protagonists.
In July,
32,338 units
were sold
, almost 2,000 more than in 2020. In this way, in the accumulated seven months of the year,
243,068 vehicles
were patented

, which represents
32.2%
more than in the same period of 2020, in which 183,889 had been registered.
Despite this rise, if compared to the 37,621 units patented in June, the decline was 14%.
The Toyota Hilux, the best-seller in 2020, is second in the general ranking, although with a good distance compared to the VW Amarok, third on the podium.
"The July numbers reflect that the market is experiencing a significant increase in demand that has not been fully satisfied, since the supply is restricted by the shortage of vehicles. This is important to highlight because it is already impacting the forecasts for end of the year, in which today we see a market close to
400,000 vehicles
", declared Ricardo Salomé, president of ACARA.

Within the top 10 there are

The
Fiat Cronos
, manufactured in Córdoba, continues to outperform the
Toyota Hilux
and is shaping up to be the new king of the market.
The compact sedan has been the best-selling vehicle of the last seven months, already accumulating 23,608 patented units.
For its part, the truck manufactured in Zárate has registered 16,494 patents so far, placing it in second place in the general ranking.
Nissan Frontier.
The midsize pickup made in Córdoba was among the 10 best-selling models of July.
Continuing with the pickups, in July the Ford Ranger (1,379 units) beat the Volkswagen Amarok (1,289), which with 12,374 patents continues to be third in the general ranking.
The news was that the Nissan Frontier made it into the top 10 best-selling models for July.
The truck manufactured at the Santa Isabel plant, Córdoba, finished in 10th position, with 693 patented units.
With regard to brands, Toyota stayed with the month of July and

The Japanese automaker managed to make three of its models among the 10 best sellers (the other two were Etios and Yaris), and continues to stretch the gap compared to Volkswagen, which is second overall despite Fiat, third overall , surpassed it in the July patents.
