The body of a 26-year-old Hungarian woman was discovered lying on Wednesday afternoon in an apartment in Gréoux-les-Bains (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence).
Suffering from schizophrenia, his suspected killer was arrested.
He was automatically placed in psychiatric service, specifies the prosecutor's office of Digne-les-Bains.

The father then went to his son's apartment where he discovered the young woman's body.
"A bloody knife was found in the apartment," said the same source.
"The custody of the suspect was lifted because it was not compatible with regard to his condition which required his hospitalization without consent in a psychiatric service", also stipulates the prosecution. An investigation for "intentional homicide" was opened and entrusted to the research brigade of the gendarmerie of Forcalquier.
