Bordeaux: two women arrested after issuing false certificates of vaccination

Two 18 and 20-year-old contractors at the Bordeaux vaccinodrome were arrested for false certificates of vaccines issued to acquaintances.

They wanted to "help" anti-vaccines, making a little money in the process.

The two young girls, referred Wednesday, will be tried for passive corruption and forgery and use of forgery, said the Bordeaux prosecutor's office, confirming information from the Sud-Ouest daily.

Both, as contractual administrative agents, were part of a team of more than 70 people working at the Bordeaux-Lac vaccinodrome, and were reported to the police by colleagues, intrigued by some of their actions.

After investigation, arrested and placed in police custody, they admitted having drawn up and issued false vaccination certificates (fifteen for one, at least two for the other).

The profit would exceed 1000 euros

The motivations, according to them, were altruism, to "serve" people who do not want to be vaccinated but who "have the right not to be excluded from certain places", but also of interest. well understood with prices between 80 and 300 euros. The overall profit of the operation would exceed a thousand euros. One of the two suspects claimed not to have received any money.

About ten beneficiaries of these certificates, mainly relatives or acquaintances of acquaintances, having heard about the vein by word of mouth, were heard by the investigators.

They will be prosecuted for “forgery”.

These would be people opposed to vaccination, and skeptics, in front of the possibility of side effects in particular.

The certificates were made from the contractor's computer, with the beneficiary's Vital Card, and the certificate was delivered during a meeting in town.

The two women will be tried on January 14, 2022, and risk up to 5 years in prison and a fine of 45,000 euros.
