Scout Grant, president of the Enosh Association, was a guest on Maayan Adam's social program on 103FM for a fascinating conversation about her projects and the Enosh Association, which she leads as president.

Do you feel as brave and uninhibited as you look from the outside?

I do not know if I am brave, I am authentic and if there is something that needs to be dealt with in real time - I deal with it. They say I'm mostly brave on filming days, but ... I'm clean. And it comes with the years, I am no longer a girl.

I'm not a journalist at all, every time they say I'm a journalist I protest. I wish I was a journalist, I'm a documentary filmmaker. First of all I'm an actress, but I'm not good at the press in my opinion. I am very good at investigations and research and I know how to interview but in my definition I am an artist, I am an actress and a creator and a writer. So journalism speaks less to me, I'm less good at it.

But when you go out on your definite journalistic projects, for example "Lost," do you feel like an actress on the set?

No, but I feel like I'm taking it somewhere a little different. I think I took it to my art, and my art is human beings, the ability to see people through some internal X-ray and especially through the ability to also put myself within that place. I am also not afraid when exposed and not afraid to be embarrassed, or to say in places I am ignorant of or to speak English less well. This is what there is and I give the maximum and the best I can. And I'm mostly terribly attached to some deep level of desire to change, I'm an activist. My art is also activist art.

The presidency of Enosh, and we convened that the Ministry of Health brought about a tremendous line of dramatic increase in the budget for the mentally handicapped, an area that had been neglected for years. Tell me, what's the situation today?

First of all, mental contestants have already removed from the lexicon the definition patients of the mentally ill. It is so blessed to finally recognize this thing and realize that this thing requires not only rehabilitation but deep-deep surgical surgery. Because it is no longer foreign, and it must not be condemned and it can be aggressive and the range of confrontations is very wide. And it can probably come because of what a situation like Corona brings to our country and to the whole world - insecurity, undermining of all the things we grow up on, economic security, social security, sudden convergence into the home, loneliness actually takes shape, even if you have friends you Can't go to them. And all of this led to an outbreak.

You know, there are also new diseases that are not yet talked about out loud but I'm sure they will go into real definitions.

Severe social illnesses in the field of mental illnesses that are caused by clinging to screens, it happens a lot in children and it causes very severe anxieties and social disconnection.

This whole thing really needs construction and restoration and it requires a great deal of money.

I do not know when it was ever decided to give such a large budget.

Works a lot for mental contenders.

What are mental contenders and what is the current state of their treatment?

Are they victims of anxiety, children who have been subjected to domestic violence, battle victims, all together?

I can say that there is a tremendous sequence - it can start with emotional difficulty, because something does not work out at home or does not work out for myself internally with how I feel, how I look, body image, go through eating disorders.

Could it be that we're all struggling a bit?

Dr. Hila Hadas: Really the question is where to draw the line. When going for a medical diagnosis there are diagnoses for people whose emotional state has reached an illness. Diseases interfere with our daily functioning and mental health they interfere with functioning chronically. There are situations that are already medical diagnosis with intensive care , Which sometimes also includes medication, and then requires rehabilitation to return to a meaningful life in the community. But the range also goes to situations where people feel severe stress and anxiety. instead of managing them.

it is important to say that conditions mental illness are complex, they are shared by many people, and there is a continuum and it is important to get to get help at very early stages.

there is also blocked money, people difficult to invest 400-500 shekels to see a therapist feelings for an hour

Scout: There are psychiatric treatments in the health funds today as well.

Dr. Hila Hadas: True, the role of the family doctor is not only diagnose, but also to detect emotional states and then come and turn for help to a psychologist or social worker.

Scout: When a person faces emotional - it's family, it is not alone. It's the whole family And the friends, it's very deep. And put that budget into rehabilitative thinking, and I hope that the hospitals will also understand that they need to become not hospitals for the mentally handicapped, but rehabilitation centers for the mentally challenged. Because part of it is its weakened society, and it does not matter who you are and what you face - a strong society knows how to rehabilitate its patients.
