Two police officers from the anti-crime brigade (BAC) of Stains seriously wounded a driver and his passenger with bullets during a check carried out on the night of Sunday to Monday in this town of Seine-Saint-Denis.

The facts took place around 1:30 am, at the corner of Boulevard Maxime-Gorki and Rue Salvador-Allende.
After refusing to comply, a BAC crew decided to check the driver of a Citroën and his passenger.
The police manage to stop the vehicle, which immediately cuts off the ignition.

But the driver of the Citroën would have turned on the ignition and suddenly reversed, "hitting a police officer who was in the back of the vehicle," said a police source.
It was at this point that two of his colleagues allegedly used their guns, firing seven times.
The driver was reportedly hit by five projectiles: in the chest, arms, abdomen and groin.
The passenger, for her part, was reportedly injured in the back.
The first was taken in a state of absolute emergency to the Georges-Pompidou European hospital in Paris (15th century).
The second was taken care of at the Pitié Salpêtrière, still in Paris (13th century).

On the side of the police, two officers were injured.
