Requiem and Dream - Walla! culture

2021-08-23T21:17:16.332Z

The pain of the death of Zvi Shissel, her partner's father; The pride in Miri Nevo, her father’s partner; The rage over coverage of the Shai Avital affair; Nominations for the "Policeman's Daughter" award and meteoric success. On the occasion of her appearance in "The Dream Owner" (HOT Entertainment), Liana reviewed a personal interview about the dreams that have come true and those that have not yet

Liana Iyun has been used to getting roles lately, but this month she got a role she did not expect - one of the organizers of the inauguration of Zvi Shissel, who was also the father of her partner David. "I was on the logistical issue," she says in an interview with Walla! culture. "Organizing the things people have brought, clearing the fridge and the like. Seven is an amazing thing. Everyone comes and takes care of a person who can not at that moment think about himself and what he will eat for lunch. This custom is an illustration of the logic of Judaism. There is a reason and a meaning to everything. "

A study of a relationship with Shissel Jr. for the past six months. His father's death, she says, stood as the first time she had experienced death up close as an adult. "Zvi was a very fun person, and I think he had another ten years of fun. His death was not easy, and it is still not easy. We are just at the beginning of the struggle."

"The whole family has taken it hard and I believe we will go through many more incarnations with it. I experienced two types of pain - my personal pain for a person I knew and loved; and the pain for my partner who lost his father, and the experiences they could still have. It caused "I understand that nothing is unexpected, it's not something I thought would happen. It also made me older. In general, I look in the mirror and suddenly look very mature to myself."

"Zvi was a very fun person, and he had dozens of other animals to live with."

On the other side of her family, the reference has a different pedigree - Miri Nevo is her father's partner. "We all sat down and watched her broadcasts from the Olympics," the actress says. "It helped us a lot. She sent comfort from afar."

Are you tired of the questions about the family connection to her?

"I talked about it with my sisters recently. Miri and my dad have been together for 15 years. I don't think of her as my dad's partner, she's part of her family, so how long will they ask me if she helps me audition? Obviously, and she's there for everything. "As my mother helps me. The whole thing amuses me, because I imagine myself at the age of fifty, continues to answer questions about Miri Nevo."

Iyun, meanwhile, is 26. She has been in the game world since childhood, but the last two years have been the most fruitful in her career. We saw her in "Forever", "The Kibbutzniks", "On the Day the Earth Shook", "Blackspace" and "The Policeman's Daughter", for which she was recently nominated at the Youth TV Awards ceremony. Now she also appears in "The Dream Owner," which recently surfaced with great success on HOT and in her honor we meet. It will soon also be possible to see her in "Good Guys," Erez Tadmor's film, and the hand is still out. No wonder someone recently tweeted "I'm as tired as Liana Ioun's agent."

"I do not believe anyone really wrote it, you're just an inventor," she says. "My agent works hard sometimes, but sometimes he also has no job at all when it comes to me. Now, for example, it's been a long time since the last time I was photographed for something, and I devote my time to creating jewelry and ceramics.I am grateful for everything I did and look forward to what else will be, but I know that I may work one year in a row and I may not work for two years. "

Someone also tweeted "why is liana such a beautiful study it is not fair that you give a little to others".

"I try not to emphasize how I look. I know it's something girls always say in circumstances like this, but I'm really trying to remind myself that this whole discussion is nonsense, because beauty is in the eye of the beholder."

"Apparently, even at the age of fifty, I will answer questions about Miri Nevo."

The "dream owner" revolves around family struggles for control of an luxury hotel empire. Iyun, in a relatively small and secondary role, plays one of the intriguing characters in a plot full of conspiracies - a young woman with a mysterious past who rolls into my father's sensory complex in Sinai, one of the series' protagonists played by Hanan Savyon, and tries to plot with him.

"The character has always been a manipulative street cat, but she was written very differently in the original script," the actress says. "I added things in the hope that the audience could identify with her and understand where she was coming from. If viewers hate the character, it's not productive. Take for example the Joker, not that I'm comparing. He's a shocking character, but you do not hate him. You understand him. Otherwise, All the watching was in vain. "

Were there any other things you changed?

"There was a scene where my father used physical force against me. It was written differently than we did in the end. Originally, it was much more direct and I didn't see any justification for that. An actor should not always feel comfortable, but one should also know how to set boundaries, and neither "Everything has to be shown on screen. You can give credit to the viewer and leave room for imagination. Either way, this scene made me understand and feel what a man's power is and how much power he has over a woman, and that made me cry."

In this context, the evidence published in recent weeks regarding the modeling agent Shai Avital comes up in the conversation.

"I had no interaction with him beyond random encounters at events and launches," says Iyun. "I was very upset to hear that his victims were girls from the periphery and from low socio-economic backgrounds. What is the subtext here? There was a reason for the attack, but if a man attacks a woman he does so because he is a vile and bad man, and there is no other explanation. What happened to these women It can happen to anyone, no matter if it is a penthouse or a hut. "

"Nothing of the kind described in my testimony has ever happened to me. I'm told it was 'lucky', but I do not think it's a matter of luck. It's a matter of probability, and of statistics. I avoid situations where I do not feel out of control, and if need be From a taxi in the middle of a trip. "

"Intuition is an important thing, and we as women need to listen to it. We think about things that men do not think about, and will not understand. When you walk down the street at night, you may be afraid of being robbed. We are also afraid of a thousand other things. There is a girl with a dragon tattoo. "A passage where one of the men says to another man, 'Your politeness is superior to your intuition.'

You lived in Los Angeles for a while, how did you experience that?

"Someone once said to me there an important sentence that I will not forget - 'If you can not do something at lunch, then it does not happen.' "You should forget about the fantasy of going to a party at night and meeting a director or producer and suddenly it turns out you're his muse. Nothing good can come of it. .

Like the Joker.

In "The Policeman's Daughter," she plays a secular young woman who, as part of the witness protection program, is forced to disguise her identity and live as an ultra-Orthodox in an ultra-Orthodox family. "I come from a traditional background, and in recent years I have come even closer to religion, also because of roles I have done," she says. People look at me and wonder, but why not do it? It's putting light on every time you go in or out.

" We also made the shiva now according to the book. I have become very strong lately, and now I have a fairly extensive knowledge of traditions and things that not everyone necessarily knows. "

What, for example, did you learn?

"That at the time of the swearing-in, you continue to wear the clothes you wore on the day he died, and then throw them away on the last day, thus releasing the energies that were on the day of death. It is a very beautiful custom. You have to walk like that for seven days. "

When were you personally closest to death?

"I drive a moped, so I experience stressful incidents on a daily basis, tap tap tap hamsa. Once, when I was walking in Cambodia with the family during a rainy season, we were stuck for seven hours with no water and nothing, insane humidity. We were in the woods, darkness began to fall and we were all around Scary. All sorts of thoughts were already going through me. I remember shouting 'Save, save' and then happy and smiling Germans came to save us, and we drank all the water. It was an amazing experience, which reminded me that in the end we are at the mercy of nature, and he prevails. Everything".

I guess you got vaccinated.

"I'm not some fan of vaccines. I haven't been vaccinated against the flu, for example, but now the vaccine is proving to be the only thing that works. Vaccines may not be the most democratic thing, but it's the most effective thing."

The "dream owner" is so named because of the plot at its core: Odia Rash pretends to be a dream decoder to deceive the hotel owner, giving crucial importance to the interpretations of the dreams he dreams. "I also attach a lot of value to their dreams and interpretation," says Iyun. "Yesterday I dreamed I saw a plane crash in the distance, and everyone goes on as usual. It probably symbolizes something I say goodbye to, something that only happens inside me and no one is aware of it, even though I am it as a disaster or a tragedy. I also remember my dream from the age of nineteen. "Crashes on my little sister. I remember him in great detail, and I do not know why. I also do not know why planes come back to me in dreams. Dreams are communication with our subconscious, there is not always an explanation."

Dreams helped you understand that you are in love with David?

"When we started dating and I realized it was serious, I had dreams that he suddenly leaves, or I see him talking to someone. The dreams made it clear to me that there is a certain fear, and when there is fear it means there is worry and caring. But let's say in David's case, I realized I was in love because From dreams. "

Let's end with something happy - you were last week at the wedding of Eliana Tidhar, who also stars in "The Dream Girl".

"I went with David, and it was the first time I was going to a wedding with a partner. It was fun. I don't know why, but a wedding is my favorite event in the world."

"The Dream Girl" airs Tuesdays-Thursdays at 8pm on HOT Entertainment, and is available on HOT VOD
