Over 4,400 km by road between Rome and the North Cape in less than 49 hours. Challenge and records largely achieved driving a Ferrari F8 with the exact time of 45 hours 20 minutes and 37 seconds. Protagonists of the record, Guinness World Record 2021, are Fabio Barone and his co-driver Alessandro Tedino.

The Italian crew, aboard a Ferrari F8 Tributo, had left on Saturday 4 September from Via dei Fori Imperiali in Rome with the aim of covering the 4400 kilometers in less time than that estimated by the mapping and navigation system designed. from the "giant" of Mountain View.

With 11 petrol refills all along the route, the two Italians crossed most of Europe without ever exceeding the speed limits set on the route and were able to unleash the performance of their Ferrari only on the legendary German motorways. The trip was continuously monitored by the Italian Timekeepers Federation and by a team of 40 technicians and professionals who followed the crew live throughout the enterprise. A project cherished for two years and which brought them with great satisfaction to enter the Guinness Book of World Records. "The idea - explains Barone - was inspired by a venture back in 1953 in which four daring young people on board a Fiat Balilla left Rome and reached the North Cape, returning to the capital after 45 days of travel. For the time, this trip was a real undertaking. Hence the idea of repeating the initiative, declining it with protagonists of the Third Millennium ".

Over the years Barone has conquered three Speed World Records on the road: in 2015 he tackled the Transfăgărășan, the national road of Romania that winds in the north of Transylvania up to the slopes of Dracula's castle, the following year he climbed Tianmen Mountain Road, a real concrete dragon that with its 99 curves goes from 200 to 1300 meters in height, ranking fully among the most dangerous routes in the world. In 2018 a new speed record among the spectacular canyons of the Dades Valley in Morocco.
