What do you need to know ahead of the announcement?

  • We are expected to see four iPhones 13 in three different sizes - like last year

  • For the first time since 2017, the new iPhones will come with a smaller gap (the black bar at the top of the screen)

  • The photo array on the iPhone 13 will take up more space on the back of the device

  • The AirPods 3 will have a design similar to the Pro version, but without silicone gaskets and a noise filtering mechanism

  • The company's watch series, the Apple Watch 7, will also get a new design

And now in detail

Unchanged from last year, Apple is expected to launch four iPhone models - two regular models and two Pro models, and a total of three different sizes: 5.4-inch iPhone 13 Mini, 6.1-inch iPhone 13 and 6.1-inch iPhone 13 Pro, and 6.7-inch iPhone 13 Pro Max '.

The four models are expected to be equipped with the new Apple A15 Bionic chipset, alongside a screen with an OLED panel that supports a display that always works.

In addition, for the first time, the pro models will receive support at a refresh rate of 120 Hz, while the two regular models will combine support at a refresh rate of only 60 Hz.

As mentioned, for the first time since the launch of the iPhone X in 2017, the gap at the top of the display is expected to be significantly smaller compared to previous models, due to the transfer of the earpiece to the frame at the top of the device.

Along with the flagship devices, Apple is also expected to unveil its new watch series, the Apple Watc 7, which may receive a significant refresh, with a design that includes sharp-edged flat edges and less rounded glass, similar to the iPhone series.

In addition, the two models will come in new sizes - 41 mm and 45 mm.

And what about the AirPods 3?

For the first time since 2016, the new headphones will get a new design and will incorporate elements from the AirPods Pro version with a rounded look and the white excess serrations (the edges that protrude beyond the ears) will be shortened.

On the other hand, although they are expected to be similar to the Pro model, they will not come with a noise filtering system or silicone adapters.
