Survey: Majority wants to work from home even after Corona

.: According to a survey by the British opinion research institute Yougov, more than two thirds of employees in Germany who worked from home during the corona pandemic want to continue to do so.
The popularity of working in your own four walls has increased in the wake of the pandemic, said on Monday the energy supplier Eon, which commissioned the survey.
In the survey, 71 percent of those surveyed said they would like to be able to work from home in the future.
At the beginning of the pandemic in May of last year, it was only 58 percent.
A good quarter (26 percent) of those surveyed would like to work at home all the time.
45 percent want to change their home office and workplace in the office several times a week.
According to the survey, the main reason for the growing popularity of the home office is the time saved by eliminating the need to travel to work.
This is the reason given by 70 percent of those surveyed.
Other reasons are the more flexible working hours (57 percent), the saved travel costs (52 percent) and the relief of the environment (43 percent).
Vaccination week against Corona starts

With a nationwide vaccination week, the Corona vaccination quota is to be driven up in the coming days.
Whether at the football field, in the shopping center or at parties: all citizens should be able to receive a vaccination free of charge, sometimes without an appointment.
In addition to the permanent vaccination options, for example in the vaccination centers, numerous temporary offers are available.

Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU) called on citizens on Sunday to take advantage of the offers.
“Getting a vaccination has never been easier.
It has never been faster, ”she said.
There will also be vaccination offers from volunteer fire brigades, in the tram or in mosques.
The vaccination week lasts until September 19th.
Currently around 62 percent of people in Germany are fully vaccinated against Corona.
The rate has only continued to rise slowly recently.
City and municipal federation calls for the use of celebrities as "vaccination ambassadors"

At the start of the nationwide week of action for corona vaccinations, the German Association of Towns and Municipalities called for an increased use of celebrities in advertising for immunization.
It is always helpful "when celebrities from the arts, culture and sport clearly acknowledge the vaccination and call for it," said the chief executive of the association, Gerd Landsberg, of the Düsseldorf "Rheinische Post".

Chinese metropolis sealed off after corona cases
