The most important European event dedicated to innovation is back: from 8 to 10 October Maker Faire Rome 2021 arrives this year at the Gazometro in hybrid form, in presence and online.

Not only makers but also robots, entrepreneurs, musicians, researchers, innovators and artists meet again in this creative event, a mix between a showcase of the most disruptive technologies and a powerful incubator of new ideas and applications, which is aimed at everyone, from entrepreneurs to children.



"One of the most popular events in our city is back in attendance", said Lorenzo Tagliavanti, president of the Rome Chamber of Commerce at the press conference for the presentation of Maker Faire 2021. "This time we return in mixed mode, because the new technologies have expanded the possibilities for enjoying the events, and in one of the symbolic places of innovation ".



In the shadow of the two huge cylinders of the Gazometro, one of the most evocative industrial 'wrecks' of the city which is opening to the public for the first time and which Eni has also transformed into a research headquarters for decarbonisation, there will be 240 spaces for makers and exhibitors, thematic areas and a large stage / television studio from which theentire Maker Faire through a streaming marathon.



Among the major themes of this year there are robotics and Artificial Intelligence (AI), also thanks to the participation of the Institute of Robotics and Intelligent Machines (I-Rim) and the National Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence of Cini and many other institutions and universities . But Maker Faire is not just technologies, robots and 3D printers: in fact, there is no shortage of arts and music that offer creative intersections here and the presence of artists such as Donato Piccolo, Clementino and The Representative of the list.



There are also many initiatives connected to the themes of Agrifood and Sustainability, in particular with the contributions of researchers from the National Research Council, Crea and Enea, in health with Make to Care, the contest that rewards innovations born from below for care and '' patient care, and educational activities through the calls dedicated to the world of school.
