The weekend dedicated to American culture and called “American Saloon” came to an end at the Tarbes exhibition center, in the Hautes-Pyrénées.
One person was killed in a giant brawl that broke out in front of the exhibition center on Saturday afternoon.
Two others were wounded with knives, reports France 3 regions, information confirmed to the Parisian.
One of them is in serious condition, Tarbes prosecutor Pierre Aurignac told AFP.
The attacker (s) have not been identified.
Particularly violent biker gangs
The brawl allegedly involved 150 people, most of them bikers who were on site to attend the demonstration.
A news item that illustrates a more general trend, that of the growing establishment of various motorcycle gangs in France.
Called "Hells Angels", "Bandidos" or "Outlaws", these gangs can be particularly violent.
According to an intelligence service report that we consulted, "the dangerousness of criminal motorcycle clubs in France" would remain "underestimated, in view of the alliances made with other organized criminal groups in the territory".
