A net aimed at international trafficking in counterfeit perfumes and leather goods allowed the arrest this week of 12 people, especially in the Loiret, and five of them were imprisoned, we learned Friday from a police source. .

In the spring, investigators noticed ads on Facebook and Marketplace "of people in Orléans offering perfumes from all the major brands made in 33 ml", a police source from the Specialized Interregional Jurisdiction (JIRS) told AFP. organized crime.

The investigation revealed that the criminals were doing this "large quantity trade", not selling less than a hundred bottles of perfume from major brands, such as Chanel N ° 5, J'adore de Dior or La petite. black dress (Guerlain).

Warehouses, where the goods were stored, were spotted in Aubervilliers, Saint-Ouen and Clichy, in Seine-Saint-Denis, with goods transported from Turkey and Bulgaria, by truck or container.

"They brewed these perfumes in very large quantities because they were able to place orders of 250,000 euros at once", notes the police officer, specifying that the products were sold in several French regions.

100,000 counterfeit parts

Twelve arrests took place this week in the Loiret, in the Paris region and in the Clermont-Ferrand sector.

Five people were placed in pre-trial detention and four were placed under judicial supervision, with indictments including counts of organized fraud and aggravated money laundering, according to the same source.

All the searches in boxes revealed more than 100,000 counterfeit pieces, "perfumes in very large quantities but also textiles such as football shirts and leather goods, such as Louis Vuitton saddlebags, for an amount. on resale estimated at 1.8 million euros by the customs services ”.

The investigation was placed under the aegis of the Orléans public prosecutor's office and then an investigating judge from the Orléans judicial court.
