The seven-day incidence in Germany rose again slightly compared to the previous day.

The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) gave the value of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants and week on Sunday morning as 66.1.

The previous day the value was 64.4, a week ago it was 64.2.

In total, the health authorities in Germany reported 7,612 new corona infections to the RKI within one day.

This is evident from the numbers that reflect the status of the RKI dashboard from shortly after seven in the morning.

A week ago, the institute had documented 6164 infections.

The Marburger Bund doctors' association fears an increase in the number of infections at the end of the free corona tests on Monday.

"Chargeable corona tests mean that fewer people with symptoms will be tested in the future," said the chairwoman, Susanne Johna, the newspapers of the editorial network Germany.

"This is a gateway for further transmission of the virus."

There are now more than 94,000 corona deaths in Germany

According to the latest information, 24 deaths were recorded across Germany within 24 hours. A week ago there were 9 deaths. The RKI has counted 4,310,273 detected infections with Sars-CoV-2 since the beginning of the pandemic. The actual total number is likely to be significantly higher, as many infections are not detected.

The number of corona patients admitted to clinics per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days was last given by the RKI on Friday at 1.67. That corresponds roughly to the value of the previous week. The number of hospital admissions is the most important parameter for a possible tightening of the corona restrictions. However, due to late registrations, the RKI numbers are often far too low. In addition, a nationwide threshold above which the situation is viewed critically is not provided for the incidence of hospitalization, due to large regional differences, among other things. The previous high was around 15.5 around Christmas time.

The RKI stated the number of those who had recovered at around 4,087,700.

The number of people who died with or with a proven infection with Sars-CoV-2 rose to 94,202.
