He has been wanted for over a month.
Effects of Brian Laundrie, the boyfriend of Gabby Petito, the young American who suddenly disappeared and then found dead after a trip with the latter in September, were found this Wednesday by investigators in a park in Florida, in the United States, according to CNN.
Following "brief searches" on a trail in Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park in North Port, Florida, the family of the missing young man and FBI and local police investigators found "certain items" belonging to him, said family lawyer Steven Bertolino.
The trail was frequented by Brian Laundrie, and is located near his family's home.
After these discoveries, investigators announced that they wanted to conduct more in-depth investigations in the area.
A disappearance that haunts America
Gabby Petito, 22, had left New York in July with her partner Brian Laundrie, 23, the start of a van trip that was supposed to last four months and the stages of which were regularly shared by the couple on Instagram and YouTube, through photos and videos.
The idyllic picture of the trip, however, was tarnished by the revelation of a report for domestic violence, made to the Utah police, last August.
Broadcast by the American media, the images of the pedestrian camera of an agent showed the young woman, on the side of a road, in distress, recounting her altercation with her companion.
The policeman finally ordered the two young people to spend a night apart in order to calm down.
On September 1, Brian Laundrie returned home alone with the van to their Florida home.
On September 11, Gabrielle Petito's family reported her disappearance, saying they had not heard from her since the end of August.
Brian Laundrie, considered a "person of interest" by investigators, was then silent on the case, until his own disappearance on September 14.

"Two people left on a trip, only one came back, and this person who came back does not provide us with any information," said Todd Garrison, police chief of North Port, located in West Florida.
A vast search operation was then launched to find the young man.
The body of the young woman was finally found on September 19, when the case made the headlines of the American media, and caused much speculation on the social networks.
