Victims in educational establishments

Founded in 2010, UAED Nantes brings together healthcare, justice and police professionals.

Since January 1, 2021, 415 children have been heard there for all kinds of violence, more than half of them for acts of sexual violence or incest.

“Our first objective is to meet victims of sexual violence in their childhood, but also to meet citizens, institutional and associative actors,” explained Édouard Durand.

"The demand for listening is considerable," he added.

After a wave of testimonies on violence committed in the family environment, the commission "receives more and more testimonies from victims within institutions such as boarding schools or educational establishments", he added.

La Ciivise was launched in January in the wake of the publication of "La familia grande" by Camille Kouchner, who accused her father-in-law, the political scientist Olivier Duhamel, of raping his twin brother.

It is responsible for collecting the voices of victims of sexual violence in childhood through a call for testimonies on its online platform and on the number 0805 802 804 and for formulating public policy recommendations by 2023.
