The Parisian and the crime is a long story.

A very long story.

For decades, the “various facts” section has drawn a large part of the DNA of our daily lives.

Pages that we sometimes read while hiding a bit as we would spy behind a curtain.

The switch to digital hasn't changed anything.

Our readers, whether they are paper or smartphone adepts, always have as much appetite for these dark stories, often tragic, but which shape a part of our daily life and often say a lot about our society.

It was therefore logical that Le Parisien should also be present to bring all of its experience and its “brand” to social networks.

The experience of the "Source code" podcast where we tell the various facts that mark the news was to be extended in images.

With the teams of the Parisian video division, we therefore worked on a concept that is adapted to the “Snapchat” application and offered twice a month.

The idea is to also reach a younger audience (via Instagram, Youtube, etc.) and to offer them quality information.

A sort of Parisian “label” for news items.

This is how “Crime story” was born.

VIDEO.

The story of Milan Ljepoja, the robber of the Pink Panthers gang, died dissolved in acid

The idea was therefore to tell a story "in pictures" and in a format not exceeding eight minutes by exploiting the technical resources available: video montages, animated reconstructions, music ... To tell these "various facts" which marked the news we have chosen to embody them.

Each time it is the story of a man or a woman that we have chosen to stage.

Robbers, traffickers, killers, but also killers, crooks, the palette of "Crime Story" will not lack shades of black.

We will also talk about children or missing persons, these puzzles never solved called "cold cases".

To launch this program we have chosen Milan Ljepoja, the Serbian leader of one of the most incredible gangs of robbers, the “Pink Panthers”, who scoured jewelry stores all over the world for several years.

A glittering career ended in blood since Ljepoja ended up dissolved in acid by a rival gang.

The second issue of "Crime Story" will radically change the universe: it will be about the disappearance of Marion Wagon, a 10-year-old schoolgirl who vanished in Agen (Lot-et-Garonne) on her way home. November 14, 1996. Twenty-five years later the enigma is still complete.
