Drama in Loire-Atlantique.
Two lifeless bodies were discovered in an apartment fire in Trignac, near Saint-Nazaire, firefighters said on Wednesday in a press release.
The facts took place this Tuesday evening.
"The firefighters have been alerted to a violent home fire (...) presenting a risk of spread to adjoining homes," said the press release.
Two bodies found in the excavation phase
The fire broke out on the ground floor of a house divided into two apartments, according to France Bleu.
"The fire was extinguished using three variable flow nozzles," said the press release.
The occupant of the first floor is unharmed.
But, during the excavation phase, two bodies - whose age, gender and identity have not yet been determined - were found.
According to France Bleu, an autopsy should be performed during the day.
An investigation was opened to determine the circumstances of the tragedy.
