Refusing to comment on the ongoing investigation, Alec Baldwin has been content in recent days to express his sadness and condolences after the accidental death of Halyna Hutchins on the set of the film "Rust".

The chief electrician of the shooting, Serge Svetnoy, for example blasted on Facebook a drama caused by "negligence and lack of professionalism", considering that the gunsmith was too young to "be a professional in weapons".

“The gunsmith had learned her trade from a recognized gunsmith and had exactly the same job on a similar shoot a month before the events.

“But we all had a first or second job,” she defended.

She also gave her take on members of the set who made accusations that "the people who speak first in the press are not always the most reliable".

"The cameramen in question tried to renegotiate their contract in the middle of the shoot, they wanted more money and better hotels," she said.

In his long letter, Terese Magpale Davis also defended David Halls, the film's assistant director, who was accused of safety negligence.

“We had several safety meetings, sometimes several times a day.

Our assistant director has never been flippant about safety even though he may have been on other shoots, ”she said, referring to her dismissal on a previous project.

The costume designer, however, admitted that David Halls had "fucked up that day", he who recently confessed to not having checked all the cartridges of the weapon.
