Refusing to comment on the ongoing investigation, Alec Baldwin has been content in recent days to express his sadness and condolences after the accidental death of Halyna Hutchins on the set of the film "Rust".

The American actor relayed on his Instagram account a long message from the costume designer of the film, Terese Magpale Davis, annoyed by the accusations of "carelessness" in terms of safety on the set.
"I am annoyed by the stories being told, the reports that we were overworked in dangerous and chaotic working conditions are totally false," begins the costume designer, referring to the words of some members of the film crew who denounced poor security conditions on the set.
The chief electrician of the shooting, Serge Svetnoy, for example blasted on Facebook a drama caused by "negligence and lack of professionalism", considering that the gunsmith was too young to "be a professional in weapons".

“The gunsmith had learned her trade from a recognized gunsmith and had exactly the same job on a similar shoot a month before the events.
Was she the most experienced person?
No, ”admitted the costume designer.
“But we all had a first or second job,” she defended.
She also gave her take on members of the set who made accusations that "the people who speak first in the press are not always the most reliable".
"The cameramen in question tried to renegotiate their contract in the middle of the shoot, they wanted more money and better hotels," she said.

In his long letter, Terese Magpale Davis also defended David Halls, the film's assistant director, who was accused of safety negligence.
“We had several safety meetings, sometimes several times a day.
Our assistant director has never been flippant about safety even though he may have been on other shoots, ”she said, referring to her dismissal on a previous project.
The costume designer, however, admitted that David Halls had "fucked up that day", he who recently confessed to not having checked all the cartridges of the weapon.

"I would fight in the future for more safety around guns on set on behalf of Halyna, so that there are never again any loaded pistols on a set and so that our gunsmiths have more training in these specific cases where they have our lives in their hands ”, concluded Terese Magpale Davis, in his message shared by Alec Baldwin.
Tuesday, November 2 Sharon Lee, sister of actor Brandon Lee, an actor fatally injured by a shooting during the shooting of a film in 1993, pleaded for the establishment of training for actors in the handling of firearms.
She also called for these weapons to be replaced on sets with dummy weapons and visual and sound effects.
