Complaints are piling up.
Three new complaints for rape have been filed against gynecologist Emile Daraï, according to information that France Info revealed on Friday, and that Le Parisien is able to confirm.
Three other complaints had already been filed against this gynecologist, until recently head of the endometriosis center at Tenon hospital in Paris.
A judicial inquiry was opened at the end of September for rape by a person having authority over a minor over fifteen years old, after a complaint lodged by a former patient, aged 17 at the time of the facts. In Le Parisien, several patients had denounced the violence of the doctor. One of them had particularly deplored vaginal and rectal examinations carried out without consent. Émile Daraï was "withdrawn from his responsibilities as head of department and educational manager" at Tenon hospital, the AP-HP and Sorbonne University announced on October 8, "so that (the internal investigation) can take place in the greatest serenity ”.
This withdrawal “will be re-examined in the light of the findings of the internal investigation”, the result of which was initially announced for the end of October.
Reports already in 2014
In 2014, the departmental council of the Order of Physicians in Paris received three reports concerning this professor. One denounced the "brutality in the human relationship" of the Mandarin, another involved sexual violence. "We treated this report as it should be, assured Parisian Jean-Jacques Avrane, president of the council of the Order of Physicians in Paris. We questioned him, he replied to the patient by disputing the alleged facts, he told her that he had taken the exam in the usual good practice. "I challenge the facts and put myself back to the conclusions of the joint investigation by the AP-HP and Sorbonne University," Professor Daraï indicated at the end of September.
