A man was hospitalized on Friday in serious condition after attempting to kill himself a few minutes after his involvement in a road accident which resulted in the death of two young people from the Landes aged 19 and 20, on the night of Thursday to Friday in Saint-Martin-d'Oney (Landes), said the Mont-de-Marsan prosecutor's office.
Driving a pickup, this 26-year-old man had just collided with a sedan arriving on the opposite lane around 2 a.m., said prosecutor Olivier Janson.
