Satisfaction was granted by the High Council for the Climate (HCC), an independent body created at the end of 2018, on the French drop in greenhouse gas emissions, with a 1.9% decline in 2019 and 9% in 2020. But the pandemic contributed to these good results. However, an 8% rebound was noted for the first half of the year by the technical center of reference for air pollution and climate change (Citepa).
