In France, the more than 60% increase in Covid-19 cases in one week is starting to be felt in hospitals. To avoid their congestion, and while the data confirms that the immunity conferred by the vaccination weakens over the months, the authorities are banking on the recall campaign, intended for all adults of age since last Saturday.
"Slow down this (...) wave and if possible stop it, that's really the objective"
of the generalization of the
"third dose"
, summed up the Ministry of Health on Tuesday. Some 18 million people vaccinated for more than five months can already claim this booster injection. And data from the Directorate of Research, Studies, Evaluation and Statistics (DREES) confirm its effectiveness.
