Reuters reports that Chinese glider company DJI, along with other Chinese companies, may be blacklisted by the US Trade Commission's investment ban and export.
The ban means that American companies will not be allowed to invest in the company, or export technology and parts to it.
The report caused a decline in the shares of the companies in question.
Reuters cites a report in the Financial Times that the US Treasury Department may put eight companies, DJI among them, on the blacklist of companies that are part of the Chinese military-industrial fabric, due to their involvement in espionage and tracking the Muslim Uighur minority in China.
American investors are not allowed to invest in the companies on the list, which now number 60 companies.
