The Metavers vision, which Meta (formerly Facebook) defined as the next stage of social technology, will combine the social interactions we know today with a variety of online experiences - some of which will be based on augmented reality.
This morning (Thursday) the company announced another step towards the Mtavers and launches a beta version of Spark AR Go - an innovative platform for creating experiences and effects in augmented reality, without the need for prior knowledge in programming or design.
The new version was first launched in five countries besides, including Israel - alongside the US, Portugal, Thailand and Puerto Rico. The new platform is available as a free iOS app and through it people can create unique effects in a simple and accessible way.

An earlier version of the platform helped many creators create filters for the Instagram story, which were used by more than 700 million people every month;
Over 600,000 creators have created and produced more than 2.5 million augmented reality effects.
Now, the platform will have many more uses on the way to the AR experiences we will encounter in Mowers.
Meta is constantly investing in creators who are making their first steps in the worlds of augmented reality, as they are the ones who can shape and build future AR experiences.
Meanwhile, the company's reality labs have set up an augmented reality design curriculum, to which more than 22,000 creators have signed up - and with the launch of the new version, the company plans to offer additional, free training courses that will teach advanced work techniques.
Graduates of Meta's programs will receive a certificate and will be able to join leading companies, which are currently recruiting skilled talents in the field of AR.
