Allegedly out of anger at Tesla, a car owner in Finland blew up his car in public.
Tuomas Katainen, owner of the Model S, said he was annoyed by the high repair costs.
Katainen had therefore bought the car used.
After driving 1,500 kilometers, the car had battery damage, but the workshop could not fix it - this is how it is described in the film.
That is why he was offered a battery replacement for 20,000 euros, the man said.
Apparently that was too much for him - and he decided to produce a YouTube video.
However, according to the video, the car was built in 2013.
How many kilometers he drove in total is not mentioned.
According to Katainen, the battery was no longer guaranteed.
Typically, Tesla grants an eight-year guarantee on the battery and drive unit.
In any case, the Finn hired a professional demolition expert who prepared the vehicle with 30 kilograms of explosives in front of the camera.
The car owner poses with the explosives in the film.
"Blowing up a car is not that easy," says the clip.
Finally, the explosives placed a rubber doll with the face of Elon Musk at the wheel of the car - and thus drove the bad taste to the extreme.
Then the white Tesla Model S explodes, the audience cheering and hugging.
The video is now going viral and already has over two million views.
Destroying objects for YouTube films has become a tradition, not least in Finland.
A married couple from the country have specialized in breaking things down into individual parts with a hydraulic press.
Many filmmakers expect reach and advertising revenue from their clips.
The batteries in Tesla's cars are actually considered to have a long service life.
With the batteries, drivers usually achieve mileage in the six-digit range.
The manufacturer grants a guarantee for 240,000 kilometers.
Tesla driver Hansjörg von Gemmingen-Hornberg, who claims to have already driven around 1.5 million kilometers with his Model S, has become famous.
To do this, however, he had to replace the battery several times.
The batteries would have lasted up to 668,000 kilometers.
Such a battery replacement can actually cost many thousands of euros.
Numbers of around 20,000 euros are circulating on the Internet, which corresponds to Katainen's information.
How much the YouTuber paid for the costly demolition is not known.
