Tonight (Wednesday), the National Cyber Network issued an unusual warning against invitations to suspicious groups on WhatsApp.

"In recent hours, links have been sent to many WhatsApp groups in Israel with an invitation to join groups engaged in stock analysis or the capital market," the statement said.

"Some of the group names and their content are in Hebrew, but it seems that the source of the invitation does not come from Israel," they added in the cyber system.

"After joining the group, a personal request is received from the group manager who invites you to join a 'special' group and sends questions related to investments in digital currencies."

Finally, the National Cyber System states that they were able to identify that there is a risk of malicious activity by joining these groups and recommends not joining or providing information.

"This is a scam aimed at deceiving the victims of a fictitious investment in cryptocurrencies," said Tom Malka, a cyber-threat intelligence researcher, in a conversation with Walla!

technology.

"The projects of those currencies are counterfeit projects without any technological value of one kind or another, and after a short time the money goes to the wallets of the fraud organizers."
