Feel like the cops from "Miami Vice": For the buyer of this white Ferrari Testarossa, the dream will come true - but the fun was not cheap.
Corona (USA) - There are TV series, the question arises as to who in the end became better known through the TV appearances: the car featured in them or the actors? Nobody can say for sure - but probably not everyone watched “Knight Rider” in the 1980s because of David Hasselhoff (69), but mainly because of his (modified) Pontiac Firebird Trans Am called “KITT”. Something similar should also apply to "Das A-Team", whose members heated up the crook with a souped-up GMC Vendura as a "team transporter". Another cult series from the 1980s is "Miami Vice" - starring Don Johnson (72) and Philip Michael Thomas (72). The two were once allowed to hunt criminals in the white Ferrari Testarossa. And just such a cult Ferrari has now been auctioned. But while a Ferrari recently went under the hammer for only 20,000 US dollars, the new owner had to dig deeper into their pockets for this chic copy, as reported by 24auto.de.

White Ferrari Testarossa auctioned - that's how expensive the “Miami Vice” feeling is
Sure, it's not the original from the series - but the Ferrari Testarossa now auctioned in the US actually looks exactly like the TV car.
The 1991 copy auctioned on Bring a Trailer was once sold in Canada - and imported to California in 2017.
The Italian bolide is fired by a 4.9-liter V12 engine that delivered 390 hp.
The gears of the sports car are sorted using a 5-speed manual transmission.

White Ferrari Testarossa auctioned - speedometer up to 320 km / h
At least externally, the white Testarossa makes an excellent impression, the vehicle has 16-inch five-spoke alloy wheels mounted.
You can tell from the use of the beige leather seats (or were they once white?) - but who is surprised, with a vehicle that is more than 30 years old.
In general, the interior looks a bit “rustic” compared to models from today's top brands.
However, the speedometer up to 320 km / h shows which motor force is present in this car when necessary.

The "Miami Vice" -Testarossa was sold for 135,000 US dollars (around 119,200 euros).
At first glance, that sounds like a lot for a Ferrari Testarossa, which was built around 10,000 times in various versions up to 1994.
However, a lot depends on the technical condition of an exclusive classic car.
A cheaper copy with hidden defects can quickly become a bottomless pit.
