Electric propulsion is done using two motors, one for each pair of wheels. The model will come in two versions; WT which is the abbreviation for Work Truck is often referred to as the base versions of Chevrolet and RST vans which are the acronyms for Rally Sport Truck (RST versions are also available for Tahoe and Saber in the United States). Each version has its own designation and of course its own level of power and performance.

Chevrolet does not provide the battery capacity data of the Silverado EV, but does say that the maximum range will be 640 km. Which is much more than what the F150 Lightning offers in its long-range version. The vehicle will also allow ultra-fast charging from 350 kilowat positions and according to the manufacturer A 10-minute charge will suffice for an extra 160 km to the range.

As with the Ford, here too it will be possible to charge other vehicles or operate appliances by connecting it to external voltage.

We know we said it's not related to the current Silverado, but another gap between the two is in the loading capabilities of the Silverado EV, which in its box with a "standard" length of 180 cm can carry between 544 and 590 kg, similar to that of vans like Toyota Hilux or Isuzu Di Max, and in any case far from the 1.6 ton of the regular Silverado.

On the other hand its towing capacity is much higher and stands at 4.5 tons compared to 3.5 tons in the Silverado.
