The auction of the Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham once owned by Elvis Presley will be a rock'n'roll auction.
Purchased new by Presley himself on September 26, 1974, for the princely sum of $ 12,512, the car is now being sold by the British Car & Classic.
Equipped with a whole series of options, worthy of the 'King of rock'n'roll', the car is one of the many Cadillacs purchased by Elvis, a great fan of the American brand, in the course of his life.

The car is equipped with an 8200cc V8 engine and for this model with a yellow-gold bodywork, Presley requested an optional sunroof and a statuette of the “winged goddess” on the long hood typical of Cadillac. In 1976 Elvis gave Fleetwood Brougham to his personal physician, Dr. Nichopoulos, who used it for the next ten years before reselling it to its current owner. In support of the auction, of course, there are all the documents that certify the authenticity of the famous initial ownership, complete with the signature of Elvis Presley, as well as the subsequent changes of ownership.
Although kept in excellent condition, both of the bodywork and the interior (with sumptuous damask upholstery), and complete with all the details, the car needs a fine tuning due to the long stop period.
The odometer reads only 2776 km and the powerful engine is almost completely original, with the exception of the battery and little else.
The auction house also pointed out, for any interested parties, that the spare parts for this Cadillac model are readily available and that the maintenance of the car, even if it is a 'vintage' model, is quite simple.
