A man was killed and another wounded by bullets in circumstances still unknown Sunday morning in Montpellier (Hérault).
The two individuals, both with gunshot wounds to the lower limbs, were taken care of by the emergency services around 5 a.m., route de Palavas near the Garcia Lorca media library in the Près d'Arènes district, in the south of the city.
One of them died on the spot, without the helpers being able to resuscitate him, while the other, 37 years old according to Midi Libre, was hospitalized in Montpellier and his days are not in danger, said clarified to AFP the departmental directorate of public security (DDSP) of Hérault.
"According to a passing motorist, who saw the scene, the two victims were taken out of a van by an undetermined number of individuals and were left on the ground", near a bus stop. tram, police said.
It was this motorist who alerted the emergency services.
The investigation was entrusted to the SRPJ of Montpellier.
The motorist will be heard during the day.
