Clashes erupted Friday evening, in Nîmes (Gard), between supporters of Éric Zemmour and political opponents, reports France Bleu.
The facts took place near the Brasserie de la Grande Bourse, where around 200 supporters of the presidential candidate had planned to meet.
About forty opponents, often members of the "anti-fascist" movement, gathered nearby.
Images posted on social networks show exchanges of violent blows, before the arrival of the police.
Insults are coming from all sides: “N*** your mother”, “facho”, etc.

According to local radio, there were "at least two minor injuries, including one gassed and with large bruises on the face", but no serious injuries.
Éric Zemmour must hold a meeting this Saturday in the Alpes-Maritimes.
It is on this occasion that the European deputy of the National Rally Gilbert Collard, former elected representative of Gard, will formalize his rallying to the former journalist.
