After demanding that Spotify remove his songs from the service, claiming that they allegedly support the distribution of Pike News around the subject of corona and vaccines through Joe Rogen's popular podcast, Spotify responded to Young's demand and began removing his songs from the service. A statement from Spotify said they were "concerned about Young's decision and hope to see him back soon."
Joe Rogen's podcast is the most balanced in Spotify's service. About a year and a half ago, Rogen signed a deal with Spotify, in which he granted them exclusive rights to the podcast. Young is not the first to speak out against Rogen's views on corona vaccines. A month ago, 270 doctors and delicacies signed a petition asking Spotify to check "the alarming amount of Pike News, especially on the subject of corona," which appears on Rogen's podcast. Rogen has more than once dealt with conspiracy theories that hospitals lie about the death toll from Corona as well as the importance of the vaccine.
Young wrote in his letter this week: "I ask that all my music be removed immediately. I ask this because Spotify distributes Pike News about vaccines that could be fatal to those who believe in these lies. They can get either Rogen or Young, not both of us."
