The war for the hearts of users continues:

Reels, the clone of the Tiktok app that has been implemented on Instagram, has begun appearing in recent days to users of the Facebook app in Israel.

Up to now, the feature has been available to users in the US, Canada, India and Mexico

. Users watch videos and record new clips to be posted on their profile.

What is Reels?

It is a format that allows users to create short videos up to 60 seconds long, with different music and effects, similar to what the competing Tiktok app does today.

Videos can be shared with your followers in the news feed, and if you have a public account, you can make them available to the general public through the dedicated Reels tab.

Although Meta focuses on the success of the platform on Instagram, the hope of course is that the new feature will succeed where they would like it to succeed - in Facebook's main app, which lost half a million users in the last three months of 2021.
