"Could be dangerous": An asteroid on its way to Earth
Next week a huge asteroid is expected to pass not far from us, and although there is no chance that it will collide with Earth, it has been defined as having potential for damage due to the relatively small distance from our planet

On His Way to Us, Asteroid 1999 VF22 (Photo: Screenshot, ESA - P.Carril)
The US space agency NASA is tracking an asteroid, 1999 VF22 named, which is expected to pass near Earth on February 22. The exact size of the space rock is unknown, as its surface is dark and not reflected, so it is difficult for astronomers to determine its size
. The most accurate object of the object, made in 2019, estimated the asteroid to be around 738 feet (224 meters) in diameter, which classifies it as a celestial object that "could be dangerous" in the event of a collision.
Sound stressful? And will pass 5.3 million km from our planet - almost 14 times the distance between the Earth and the Moon.

The next time the 1999 VF22 comes so close to us - assuming it does not collide with another celestial body in its path, will be on or around February 23, 2150.
It will not be visible to the naked eye, however, amateur astronomers with appropriate advanced equipment will be able to observe the rocky space passing near Earth.
