For the first time: researchers were able to document what we "think" a moment before death Israel today

A random discovery of a person who died during a test shows that the brain is probably trying to recreate the important moments in life just before it stops working • Another discovery: The brain continues to function shortly after the transition to a state of death

Neuroscientists have been able to document for the first time the signals and waves that pass through the brain in the last moments of life, and have apparently also been able to understand what we are "thinking" about in our final seconds, Bloomberg reported on Wednesday.

The researchers did not intend to test this, but this information was obtained when an 87-year-old man who was connected to electrodes in an EEG device, which checks for seizures of the brain, died of a heart attack.

The pattern of brain waves was similar to those we experience when we are asleep or when we are meditating or trying to locate old memories, they reported.

The results of the study were published in the journal Frontiers in Aging Neuroscience, and according to lead researcher Dr. Ajmal Zemar of Louisville University, the information shows that the brain may remain active and even have the ability to communicate with its various parts during and even after we move to death. The particular type of brain waves documented in the human brain indicate that life may be passing in front of our eyes at the last minute, but as mentioned this is a single case that does not necessarily prove the claim.

"We measured 900 seconds of brain activity at death and examined what happens in 30 seconds before and after the heart beats," the researcher said.

He added: "Just before the heart stops beating and immediately after it stops beating, we saw a specific change in the types of waves ... that are associated with recalling memories, so the brain may relive the important moments in life just before death, as sometimes survivors of events report."

Were we wrong?
