Will Microsoft beat Apple?

The Edge browser manages to leap up the popularity ladder:

According to market research firm StatCounter, Microsoft's browser, which comes built-in with Windows and came out in a new version about a year ago, is expected to soon overtake Apple's Safari browser.

According to the report, Microsoft's browser is on 9.54% of computers worldwide, just 0.3% behind Apple's Safari, which stands at 9.84%.

Unsurprisingly, Google Chrome continues to hold first place with 65.38% of the total market.

Mozilla Firefox takes fourth place with 9.18%.

Safari has lost quite a few users in favor of other browsers in the past year, as in January 2021 it held a market share of 10.38 percent.

If the trend continues, Apple is expected to drop to third or fourth place in the near future.
