On the face of it, the Jeep Compass had what it takes to be successful, the only one in the group of compact Jeeps to bear the explicit name - Jeep.

A tough look with a resemblance to the Grand Cherokee and even a price tag that was admittedly slightly more expensive than the others, but not unusually.

But potential aside and sales numbers aside, and the Compass has failed to produce significant dedication data, certainly relative to competing vehicles from the Hyundai Tucson to the Peugeot 3008 and everything in between.

He is now coming to Israel after a slight facelift that has improved the level of equipment and his safety equipment.

Although it has become more expensive, so have its competitors.

These are the innovations he presents.

In terms of propulsion, there is no change and this time too he will use a supercharged 1.3-liter engine with 150 hp and 27.5 kg.

Power goes through a 6-speed dual-clutch gearbox to the front wheels.

As a result, performance also remained unchanged - 9.2 seconds per 100 km / h and up to a maximum of 199 km / h.

The more significant changes are in the finish levels of the model.

The Compass will be marketed in three trim levels, Longitude, 80th Anniversary and S-Model.

Longitude that will be the entry level adds a pretty nice list of armature in relation to the outgoing generation.

Mobile charging pad, reverse camera, LED lighting, multimedia screen has been increased from 7 to 8.4 inches and will include coupling for Android and Apple, 17-inch rims and air conditioning ports for the rear seat from the climate controller and more.

The list of safety systems now includes the identification of road signs, pedestrians and two-wheelers.

The 80th Anniversary finish level, which marks 80 years of the Jeep (last year ...) has tags indicating the event, a panoramic roof, front parking sensors, a 10.25-inch dashboard and a 10.1-inch multimedia system, the upholstery combined with fabric and leather, Keyless entry and drive, two-tone exterior paint and 18-inch rims.

Adaptive cruise control is added to the safety systems.

At the top of the range, the S-Model trim level also adds electric direction to the seats when the driver's includes memories, an electric trunk door opening, roof rails, full leather upholstery and 19-inch rims.

Compass prices start at NIS 189,000 (an increase of about NIS 10,000) for the entry-level version.

The intermediate level will cost NIS 214,000 and the senior finish level will cost NIS 229,000.
