What remains unchanged is the use of its excellent 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine.

In its current incarnation it shoots 400 horses and 51 kg that go into four-wheel drive through a dual-clutch gearbox with 7 transmission ratios to four-wheelers. In terms of performance there has been a slight improvement in acceleration to 100 which was shortened by 0.3 seconds and now stands at 3.8 seconds. The maximum is 250 km / h and the removal of the electronic limit will be 290 km / h.

But speed in a straight line and even in curves was never an issue for her, it was the fun and involvement that was lacking for those who wanted to take driving to the next level.

The trick here is the Torque Splitter - a sophisticated differential that replaces the Aldex type of previous generations and allows it to transfer full power to the rear wheels and even just one wheel.

In terms of equipment and cabin, the RS3 comes with a 12.3-inch screen on the dashboard and a 10.1-inch multimedia system, steering wheel control, climate control split into 3 areas with air conditioning outlets for the rear seats, leather-covered and electrically adjustable seats, panoramic roof window and more .

The RS package, which costs NIS 19,500, adds a B&O audio system with 15 speakers, LED matrix lighting, a sports exhaust system, a package of blackened element design and, what really matters, adaptive dampers that we have come to know that really change its character.

The list of safety systems includes parking and camera sensors, automatic braking, lane departure correction, vehicle identification in "dead zone", adaptive cruise control and more.

RS prices start at NIS 460,000 for the Sportback configuration and NIS 478,000 for the sedan.
