The Haifa International Festival of Children's Performances will be held this year for the 32nd time on Passover, between 19/04/22 and 17. Who will take part in the festival events that will be held over three days with about 200 plays and performances from Israel and the world at the Haifa Theater complex.



This year, the festival salutes the heroine of the national culture, the bride of the Israel Prize - Naomi Shemer, in the opening play "Butterflies in the Head" - a new original Israeli musical for children from Shemer's songs.

The international artistic section includes hosting 15 different shows and about 40 artists from around the world: Austria, the Netherlands, Italy, France, Spain, Mexico and Israel, with the first world performances of six world premieres produced especially for the festival.

Butterflies at the head

A new Israeli musical for children and the whole family, centered on an inspiring story about the right to be different.

Accompanied by music and songs by Naomi Shemer, an Israeli musician and songwriter, winner of the Israel Prize for Hebrew Singing.

Guy is an extraordinary kid who has a hard time adjusting to the school setting.

One day, a substitute teacher arrives with a captivating and charming personality, who with the help of humor, sensitivity, and even a few songs by Naomi Shemer manages to sweep his students after him and bring about a change in Guy's life.

A spectacular celebration of sounds and colors that will make children and adults fall in love again with the work of Naomi Shemer.

A surprise egg



in the penguin yard at the London Zoo, something happened.

Louis and Martin, the pair of male penguins, brought a stone to their common nest, and tried to incubate it as if it were a real egg.

Mr. Elliott, their therapist, came up with an idea.

The Wrong Run The Orna Porat Theater



A colorful comedy about a serious dilemma - acceptance or true friendships?

Joel arrives at a new school and is determined to be, for the first time in his life, acceptable.

To do this, he should be invited to a party organized by the most accepted child at the school - Ron Ashkenazi.

To try and get closer to him he decides to surprise him at his house but to his amazement he discovers that there is another Ron Ashkenazi and he accidentally got to the wrong Ron.

Now Joel has to choose between two runes.

Will he choose an Ashkenazi baron who will make him acceptable?

Or maybe Baron Ashkenazi who will just be his friend?

Tito's Eyes A national theater for children and youth



, an interactive musical.



Adaptation of the book "Tito Tov" by Efi Shoshani.



Tito the dog was harmed by humans and lost faith in them.

Until he meets Adam.

Adam adopts him, gives him a warm home, becomes his best friend ... but when Tito goes blind, he is convinced that Adam will not want him anymore, and will return him to the association.

To his surprise, Tito discovers that blindness sometimes helps us to 'see' and feel what is in the heart.

a musical fantasy about following the heart and fulfilling the dream against all odds.



Berry is a young bear born to a lineage of outstanding bears in karate - and is destined to continue their journey.

But secretly in his heart he dreams of finding a hobby that he will truly love.

When he discovers the world of music and playing the piano, he decides, against all odds and against the rest of his bear friends who mock him, to try and become the first pianist in the forest.

Grandma knits a homemade ensemble on a



rainy day, on a cool morning, Grandma moves to live in the city.

Behind the wonders

This year, for the first time, the Haifa Theater will launch the cultural-educational project "The Greenhouse", which was born in the last two years, following the Corona crisis during which Israeli children were denied cultural activity.

The "Greenhouse" project emphasizes that culture will be part of the educational landscape of the children of Haifa and Israel and will include student meetings with first-rate artists, playwrights and actors, master classes and a flagship show, "Behind the Wonders" - a multi-sensory and unique theatrical experience.
