An investigation was opened on Monday by the Lyon prosecutor's office (Rhône) after the attack on "several school life staff" by four people who entered the Paul Eluard college in Vénissieux.

A hospital supervisor
In the morning, four individuals, who are not students, entered the college, asking to speak to people in school life, reported the rectorate of the Lyon academy.
According to this source, they were "aggressive" verbally and physically, "strongly pushing" a supervisor, who then had to be hospitalized.

This aggression "would be in connection with a student", added the office of the rector, specifying however to be in the process of "determining the reasons".
Olivier Dugrip, rector of Lyon and the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes academic region, "firmly" condemned this attack in a press release, and gave "all his support to the entire educational community of the college".
“No attack on the school of the Republic can be tolerated”, he underlined.
According to the rectorate, these facts created "a great stir" in this establishment of 740 students, which was closed Monday afternoon.
Students will return to class from Tuesday morning.
