Against the backdrop of the wave of terror, Raviv Fiddler was debating quite a bit whether to hold today (Sunday) the launch event of his debut album, called his huge hit "Shards", and whether to release his new single "Return" at the same time.

He also pondered whether to hold the launch show later this month.

In the end he decided not to postpone anything, but the event today, which took place in a restaurant in Jaffa, was planned to be in a party atmosphere and held at the request of a violinist in a more minor way, the songs were performed acoustically and not in their full version.

"After much deliberation I chose to put out the song and launch the album today and also hold the show soon because I think we should not let them win," says Fiddler in an interview with Walla!

culture.

"If we did not do it, it would be a great victory for them. Because they want us to stop life and shut ourselves in houses. Unfortunately it happens, there is fear. But we are a strong people who have gone through a lot. We have to win life itself."

"We are not in post-trauma but in trauma," adds Fiddler. .

The security situation mentions that your big hit "Shards", written and composed by Keren Peles and Avi Ohayon, was written about Operation Eitan Cliff where you served and lost some of your friends.

You said that after "shards" you are amazed that people shout the words without understanding their meaning.

"The song 'Shards' connects me very much to the country, with a strong connection between what happened in the past and what is happening now. Unfortunately we experience a lot of events. People just do not think of the words of 'Shards', even if it is in their subconscious. At first it really is It was very strange to hear 'shards' at the party. I said to myself, whoever understands the meaning of the words is fine, and he can shout it at the party, and whoever does not, it's okay too. Some four and five year olds sing 'shards' and I believe they do not "I understand the lyrics to the end. I am very excited and happy that the song has reached, in one way or another, so many hearts."

27-year-old Raviv Fiddler burst into consciousness in the seventh season of "The Next Star," in which he reached the semifinals.

A little less than two years ago, he released the debut single "Shards", created by Keren Peles and Avi Ohayon, and the song became a big hit and reached number two on the Walla!

In recent months, Teddy Productions has parted ways, and it has been announced that Keren Peles, who signed on for your two most successful songs and was your artistic director, is moving to the position of consultant.

What is the reason for these changes?

"I said goodbye to 'Teddy' in a good spirit. I also changed personal management in a good spirit. This is a step I took, and I look forward to the future. I never said goodbye to Keren. Maybe the publicity was not right. "Spot, you can define it as an artistic director or a consultant or a psychologist or a creator or a writer and a composer.

I learned that the possibility of signing the next song of pride is being examined.

What motivates you to want it?

"It's not closed yet. You're revealing secrets here. It's a positive thing. It's something very, very close to me. Both someone very close to me and one of my best friends are out of the closet, and the song is meant to support the community."

Your songs are interesting but many of them are too similar to each other, in structure, in technique.

"I have a song called 'Similar to You.' Everything. ' You say it's similar in terms of arrangements and sound, so the singer has some color, and if he did not have that color he would not be unique in what he does. "

The new songs came out on the radio at a fast and unconventional pace of once every two weeks, whether the radio adopted them or not.

Maybe it was worth waiting a little longer between spending the singles?

"I collected a lot of songs, and I just wanted to release them because I felt they were good enough and level enough, in text and melody, I thought the audience should hear it. I longed to release the songs. So I chose a course that some would say is not the smartest "And I put out a song every two weeks, until today I put out the last song."

There are celebrities who need to put on a hat so that they are not recognized on the street.

In your case, you may need to take off your hat so they will not recognize you.

How much do you recognize yourself on the street and how much does it nag?

"I am recognized on the street. I have a good friend here who can attest to that. I accept it with love. It warms the heart, all the reactions from the crowd, from the people on the street. It's something unparalleled. I always said that if I take my hat off, I shave and there "A long shirt that hides the tattoos, I do not think many will recognize me."

Where do you see yourself in two years, on your 30th birthday?

"In Los Angeles. I'll try to develop my career abroad.

I also want to try English materials and try my luck.

And I believe that with the will and ability it will succeed.

We'll see.

I am currently here in the country.

Of course, the country will always have a warm place in the heart. " And for

dessert: the mythical pony borax in the Lewinsky market is your family's business. Tell us what is the secret recipe for borax?

"Wow, we're celebrating 100 years of confectionery in two months. If I tell you what the borax recipe is I'll have to kill you later. My family did not fly the same plane to keep it a secret! Just."
