Nine years after the revelation of the facts, the company Castel Viandes and three of its managers, including the boss of the slaughterhouse, Joseph Viol, known as "Jeff", will appear this Thursday before the criminal court of Nantes (Loire-Atlantique) for deception on the goods, placing on the market of products prejudicial to health and obstructing the functions of the agents responsible for health control.
They are accused, over a period from 2010 to 2013, of having marketed meat unfit for consumption, by falsifying traceability documents.
