Take a look at the home screen of your phone, we are ready to put the budget of the system's snow spray on the fact that at least one of the following apps is there, in fact we are pretty sure that one of them is also in the list of apps that have been used recently.

Because whether we like it or not, whether we mourn the loss of people's basic ability to get from point to point without opening WAZE, if we miss that time when we did not know in advance what taxi model would pick us up and our driver practiced Capoeira and amateur and haiku - we must admit these four apps Dramatically changed the way we move from place to place.

We sent them the Independence Day questionnaire, that's what they had to tell.

And we have only one problem with them - isn't it time for you to have a proper Hebrew name for the widget of the people being built in their country?

You do not want to upset Avshalom Kor.

Pango - The most fun for bass inspectors

Roi Elbaz, CEO of PANGO (Photo: Ofer Hajib)

Our Independence Day: When was the company established?

The company began operating in 2007

Pioneer period: How did it all start?

Initially Pango (by the way, the name means short for Pay and go) provided a service for activating parking via mobile in selected local authorities, and slowly all the authorities joined until Pango became an app.

Until our solution, paying for parking was a very difficult task.

If you did not have coins to chain to a meter or kiosk to buy a scratch card most likely you would receive a report (or pay for parking while not having to pay for it). Our solution was to allow payment by phone (even before there were smartphones).

The

ability

to pay only at those times when payment is required

Transportation challenges in Israel are multiple and begin with the dispersal of the population and employment centers, lack of mass transportation systems, availability and reliability of public transportation and rigid behavioral habits of the passengers themselves.

The bright spot is that discourse and prioritization have changed in recent years and light rail is one of its important hallmarks, and it will accelerate behavioral change in which more Israelis will combine private vehicles with additional means of transportation.

For this purpose, we have expanded the use of the app to other areas.

Pango centralizes for all road users in one application all the transportation payments and related services.

The app allows payment in blue and white in 77 authorities, more than 450 parking lots around the country, refueling and purchase service in Sonol convenience stores, payment in public transportation in cooperation with Moovit, payment on toll roads, car wash at a discount, rescue services and more.

Pango also provides complementary services such as vehicle collection for licensing test, garage care and car insurance.

Commander Spirit: Our best wishes for Independence Day

Roi Elbaz, CEO of Pango: “We at Pango get up every morning with the desire to make it easier for drivers and passengers to perform simple actions that will allow them to get from place to place more smoothly.

We are proud to be a blue and white transportation app and to accompany the Israeli public at every moment in its daily journey.

We wish all of us and the wonderful country we have created, that we will succeed in making the lives of all of us easier, and improve in places that need improvement.

And until that happens we will all have the patience to contain it and especially to always look at the half full glass.

And that we will all travel in good ways.

happy Independence Day"

Nir Erez, Founder and CEO of Moovit (Photo: Moovit)

Our Independence Day: When was the company established?

Founded in Israel in 2012 by Nir Erez, Roi Bik and Yaron Evron

Pioneer Period: How did the company start?

In 2012, Moovit launched a free app for iPhones and Android devices in order to make order in terms of arrival times and travel routes in urban transport and guide people on how to get around it efficiently and conveniently.

It all started with a conversation between Nir Erez and Yaron Evron, two of the company's founders in the conversation, Evron told Erez how inaccessible public transportation information is to passengers, and that the public depends on printed and cumbersome schedules.

When it became clear that Evron knew how to build a process and plan a transportation route they were ready to start working.

Since then, the Moovit app has won many awards, including the title of "Best Local App" by Google in 2016, and one of the best apps in 2017 by Apple.
