Love to send emoji instead of using words?
Mark Zuckerberg, WhatsApp owner and founder of Meta (formerly Facebook), announced today (Thursday) the launch of the "Emoji Comments" feature, which allows you to respond quickly by marking an emoji next to the message, without flooding the chat with new messages.
This is a feature that has been around for several years on Instagram and Messenger, which are also owned by Facebook, along with other competing platforms.
The new feature is already available for some users, and released screenshots feature three different emojis: like, heart, sad, surprised and smiling face, alongside the number of "comments" it received.

Still not seeing the update in the app store?
Don't worry, it is expected to gradually reach all users over the next few days, both on Android and iOS.
Last month
, WhatsApp announced a new update called Communities
, which will allow people to connect separate groups under one umbrella and in a structure that suits them. Using the new feature, users can receive updates sent to the entire community, and easily organize smaller discussion groups on specific topics .
Communities will also include new and meaningful tools for principals, including 'announcement notices' to be sent to all community members, and control over which groups will be included in it or not.
