iPods: While stocks last

The US technology group Apple has announced the end of iPod production.
The MP3 player "not only influenced the music industry, but also redefined the way music is discovered, heard and shared," said marketing vice president Greg Joswiak on Tuesday.
The iPod Touch will remain available in the brand's retail outlets while stocks last.
However, the "music experience" of the iPod is now integrated into "all" Apple products.
The rectangular, white iPod hit shelves in 2001 and quickly became popular.
The MP3 player and the associated music software iTunes helped legal music downloads to break through and thus heralded the end of CDs.
According to media reports, Apple has sold almost 450 million of the devices in the past 20 years.
