For the manufacturer's electric "ID" division, this is already the third model offered in Europe (alongside ID.3 and ID.4) and common to all three: they are electric and unfortunately none of them have arrived in Israel so far.

What could have been given up?

Electric driving experience

For the launch of the model in the beautiful Tyrol region in the Austrian Alps, the pair of models that will arrive in the country in the future have stabilized for a change.

Of the three versions of the model, which start with the pro with 174 hp, the version that may lead sales here is the pro performance version equipped with rear-wheel drive and an electric motor that produces 204 hp, and next to it will also be offered the more sporty GTX version equipped with a pair Electric motors for dual propulsion, combined power of 300 hp and warmer performance.

In the power section, the model is equipped with a 77 kWh battery that ensures a driving range of 520 km or 480 km in the GTX model, but the mountainous driving route and under strenuous conditions The dialect has a range of around 19 kWh per 100 km, which is relatively far from the manufacturer's statement, and we will have to wait for the model to arrive in the country and test it on a more routine local route.



A shorter introductory round on the more sporty GTX version, revealed a hot performance with acceleration to 100 km / h in 6.3 seconds and better road grip, but this is a fast and fun crossover for driving and not extremely sporty.



Its charging system supports positions of up to 135 Kilowatts and under certain conditions (depending on battery status, temperature and position type) can absorb up to 150 kilowatts which will add 100km in 6 minutes of charging.

Automatic parking - the next generation

In the safety section, the ID.5 lists an impressive safety specification that includes the variety of advanced safety systems currently on the market, including a driving assist system for lane keeping, cruise control and automatic braking under the name 'travel assist' with a series of improvements, and manages to innovate with a state-of-the-art system The automatic parking system is one step ahead, and allows the setting of up to 5 fixed parking spaces in different locations (integrated with the navigation system).
