The Marseille city again in mourning.

According to information from La Provence, two men were killed overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday in the northern districts of Marseille.

The first, in his twenties, was reportedly stabbed to death in the Cité des Rosiers, in the 14th arrondissement of the city, around 1 a.m.

The other victim was reportedly shot in the back of the neck an hour later, in another arrondissement of the city, the 15th, at Parc Kalliste, in what could be a settling of scores, probably between drug traffickers.

According to AFP, no casing was found near the body, which was moved.

A stolen vehicle was also found near the scene of the tragedy.

The investigations concerning the two files were entrusted to the judicial police, while no link was established between the two murders, learned the news agency from a police source.

The northern districts of Marseilles have been the scene of numerous settlings of scores since the beginning of the year, with in particular the death of a young man last March in the city of the Visitation, or even on February 21 with the death of an individual in his thirties in the 13th arrondissement, by two Kalashnikov bullets.

In 2021, nearly fifteen people were killed in settling of scores in connection with drug trafficking in Marseille, according to a count by the Marseille police headquarters.
